Covid-19 and government restrictions may have slowed things down but it didn't stop us from doing what we do BEST - help entrepreneurs and support our community!
It would be an understatement to say that life has looked a little different for all of us since mid-March when the COVID-19 pandemic thrust us into a lockdown. For many, our homes became our offices, classrooms, and gyms. For others who worked courageously on the frontlines of the pandemic, life became a lot more stressful and unpredictable.
We at Spark Niagara fared no differently than most. Mandated by governmental restrictions, we had to close our physical doors for four months and only recently reopened them in mid-July. Not being in the office didn’t stop us though from continuing to do what we do BEST while helping our community! Below are some highlights from our summer.

In this new virtual workplace, we still found ways to keep in touch, meet new people and make new connections. FIKA Friday turned our weekly morning coffee meeting into an exciting networking opportunity. Over 276 people attended our FIKA Friday networking sessions, including Spark staff, member companies, Niagara Falls Ryerson Innovation Hub (NFRIH) cohort companies, partner organizations, entrepreneurs from across the globe, businesses owners and local service providers. Missed a FIKA Friday? No worries — we’ll be running these virtual events through the Fall.
